watch us be
SUSTAINABLE

At Watch You Learn, children engage in practical activities that help them understand their own independence, connect them with nature, and develop respect for the environment and its creatures.

Educators and children take part in outdoor activities such as vegetable gardening, composting and worm farming. They initiate discussions with children about the importance of reusing, recycling, and repurposing. They remind children to turn off taps and lights when not needed as part of sustainability.

Discussions with the older children about sustainability will include how the Centre’s physical environment has been designed with sustainability in mind – use of glass and natural light throughout the Centre, cross-ventilation for fresh air, green cleaning products, and choosing furniture, toys and resources that are resilient and can be readily repaired, are all topics which will be discussed.

Parents involvement and contributions will be proactively sought for watch us be Sustainable.
